The Fiji Development Bank (FDB) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Leadership
Fiji to strengthen Leadership Fiji’s capacity to support and empower Fijian leaders through its various
training programs.
The agreement was signed by FDB’s CEO Mr. Saud Minam and the CEO of Leadership Fiji Ms. Sharyne
Fong.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Minam said the development bank is committed to supporting
the mission of Leadership Fiji in developing the next generation of Fijian leaders.
“Leadership Fiji’s programs provide the participants with the skills and knowledge to become effective
leaders in their organisations, communities and beyond. Therefore, we are proud to be part of this
partnership and look forward to the positive outcomes it will bring for our country.”
“This MoU is a positive step forward in the development of leaders in Fiji. It is a testament to the
commitment of both FDB and Leadership Fiji to the growth and prosperity of the nation,” CEO Minam
added.
Leadership Fiji CEO, Ms. Fong said “We value the support that is being given by Fiji Development Bank
and this is an exciting new partnership for our organization. As an outcome of this partnership Leadership
Fiji is utilizing and has access to the Fiji Development Bank Training room where we have been hosting
our Leadership Fiji 2023 Program Sessions”.
Ms. Fong added that “Leadership Fiji has evolved over the years and through partnerships such as this it
assists with strengthening our programs and achieving our strategic vision of establishing a Leadership
Academy and Centre for Fiji and the Pacific to expand its offering of leadership programs from its current
core leadership program to across all levels of society”.
