The Leadership (Fiji) Foundation is proud to support Mobile Kindy Fiji with the provision of resources and equipment for training to strengthen early childhood education across communities.

Mobile Kindy Fiji has been a beacon of hope for children in underserved areas, bringing learning directly to villages and settlements where access to formal education is limited. By equipping teachers and facilitators with essential tools, the program ensures that children are given the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive from their earliest years.

With the Foundation’s support, Mobile Kindy Fiji will receive:

  • A flat screen TV to enhance visual and interactive learning
  • A printer and cartridges to support lesson preparation
  • Four boxes of A4 paper for classroom activities
  • Funding toward teachers’ fees to sustain program delivery
  • Expanded training allocation to strengthen teaching capacity

Speaking about the support provided, Leadership (Fiji) Foundation Board Chairperson, Rajesh Patel, said: “This partnership reflects our Foundation’s ongoing commitment to backing community-driven projects that create lasting impact. Education and child development are at the heart of building strong leaders for tomorrow, and Mobile Kindy Fiji is a powerful example of how grassroots initiatives can transform lives.”

On receiving the grant, Ms Analesi Tuicaumia said: “Mobile Kindy Fiji is extremely grateful to be a recipient of the generous support from the Leadership (Fiji) Foundation. When we see a child, we see a nation. The time to build a quality nation is now. For the quality of our childhood is the quality of our neighborhoods. Improve the quality of life for our children and you improve the quality of the neighborhood.”

The Leadership (Fiji) Foundation, a Charitable Trust that was incorporated in October 2022, is led by five Leadership Fiji Alumni and two independent Trustees. Together, they continue to champion projects that empower communities, nurture children and youth and build resilience across Fiji, including support towards animal welfare.

Previously under a sub-committee of the Leadership Fiji Board known as the Leadership Fiji Community Fund, the Alumni members of that Committee had already supported a number of community projects totalling over $100,000 such as the funding of the build of a community play centre in Totoya in Lau which was undertaken by our Leadership Fiji 2015 Alumni, advocacy outreach programs of Drug Free World Fiji, supporting the Uto Ni Yalo Trust’s Traditional Sailing and Environmental Stewardship program, providing drone technology for monitoring and management of the Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park, providing life-saving equipment to Life Flight Fiji, partially funding the payment of a Van for The Greater Good Foundation to assist in the collection of stray dogs, assisting PPSEAWA’s Qoqa’s Greenhouse Project in Nagado Village, Nadi, purchase and delivery of a tractor and plough worth $40,000 to Montfort Boys Town, supporting TEDx Suva events and scholarships to participants in the Leadership Fiji core Program.
